“Surely you mean something about Golden Eggs?”
Yes. That is really what we’re about here, to be more precise – how to grown your own goose that lays the golden eggs. Oh yes, I am (metaphorically) serious.
Even since I was a kid I have been fascinated with money. I’m sure most of us are the same. Money is this weird stuff that pervades our entire society. The world runs on it. Sadly, though, the teaching of financial literacy is lacking in today’s world.
The paranoid amongst us would say that is a result of ‘the man’ wanting to ‘keep the people down!’ Perhaps a more sensible and realistic view, bearing in mind Hanlon’s razor :
Never ascribe to malice that which can be explained by incompetence.
Would be that few people are really skilled in finance, so much of what passed for financial literacy in the time before internet could be described as ‘the blind leading the blind’.
What has all this to do with this Golden Goose project?
Simply this: there is a wealth of information available now to any who care to look. Some might say there is already too much! Since I have already made a great many financial blunders, not to mention learning many lessons along the way, I want to share what I have learned. I want to learn more. Perhaps along the way I may find a financial reward for doing so, which would be a nice bonus.
So please join me on this journey – let us learn from one another so that we can ensure that the following generations will the best start that we can provide.
